FAQ
Everything you need to know before the race
Answers to the questions runners and supporters ask most, with the official details of the edition.
When and where is the Mancor Xtreme held?
The next edition is on 10 January 2027. The start and finish are at Plaça de Dalt, in the village centre of Mancor de la Vall (Mallorca).
Is it called Mancor Xtreme or Mancor Extreme?
The official name is Mancor Xtreme, with an X. You may also see it written "Mancor Extreme" or "CxM Mancor Xtreme": CxM stands for Curses per Muntanya, the FBME's name for mountain races. It is always the same race, in Mancor de la Vall.
Which races are there?
What time are the starts?
The XTREME starts at 9:00 and the XS at 9:30. Both are ordinary starts, not neutralised. See the full timetable on the home page.
Are there cut-off times?
Yes. On the XTREME, 3 h 15 min at the Coll de sa Línia aid station and 5 h at the finish. On the XS, 2 h 30 min at the finish. You can estimate what time you would reach each point with the calculator on the XTREME page.
Where can I park?
The designated car park is at Carrer des Colomer, only 400 m on foot from the finish. Mancor de la Vall is about 35 minutes from Palma along the Ma-13 and Ma-2130, via Inca.
How do I register?
Registration is made on the race page at Elitechip, which is also where the results are published. You will find the details on the registration page.
What gear is mandatory?
In both races: suitable shoes, bib visible on the front, timing chip, emergency thermal blanket, whistle and a cup or equivalent container. On the XTREME only, also: a mobile phone with battery, half a litre of liquid in reserve, a food reserve and a windproof jacket. See the full list.
Can I run with poles, headphones or minimalist shoes?
Poles are allowed, but they must have soft rubber tips and you must carry a spare set. Racing with headphones or with minimalist or alternative footwear is not allowed.
Which categories and prizes are there?
The XTREME and the XS have women's and men's categories, from overall to master 60, plus a local category; the XS only has overall, cadet, junior, youth and local. The top three in each category receive a trophy; prizes cannot be combined.
Can I get help at the aid stations?
Yes, outside assistance at the aid stations is allowed on the XTREME. However, no cups, plates or cutlery are provided: you must carry your own cup or an equivalent container.
What is the neutralised section at the Pas de n'Argentó?
Between km 11.8 and 12.2 of the XTREME you must climb on foot, not running: it is 400 m with 139 m of elevation gain. It is imposed by the Balearic Directorate General for the Natural Environment to curb erosion of the path, and it is signposted at the start and the end.
Can I drop out during the race?
Yes, at any time, but it is up to you to let the organisers know.
Where does the race go and what environmental rules apply?
Always on existing, defined paths and trails, inside the Serra de Tramuntana Natural Area, a World Heritage Site. Much of the route crosses two private estates that grant right of way only on race day. Smoking and any activity involving fire are prohibited, and littering is not allowed.
Where can I see the results of previous editions?
The results page has the records and the trend of every edition, with a link to the full classification at Elitechip.
